controlling condensation while sleeping in freezing temps with a CPAP?

Postby cbj029 » Mon Dec 12, 2016 6:33 am

I saw this posted on FaceBook and even though I haven't been out with my cpap in that cold of weather yet, it is something I am planning on doing soon. So here's the post and question.
OK, not a newbie, but I have a question to ask. Who camps with their CPAP? If so, what do you do in freezing temps? I just spent two nights fighting the apparatus. First night, the machine was outside, and spraying icy condensation all over me and dripping down my face (and chilling the inside of my nostrils). Second night- machine inside the bag with me; the cold air intake around my shoulders wasn't fun either. (My machine won't heat the air when running on battery.) I'm ready to go back to snoring and Excedrin in the morning...
